What changes do you think we will have to make to our lifestyle due to the oil crisis?

1. There is no oil crisis. It's mostly speculation on wall street causing these insane prices.

2. Start using more public transportation

3. Get a scooter, moped or motorcycle.

4. If you live in a large city, bike to work

5. Don't buy any American made vehicles (force the big 3 to get out of bed with the oil companies).

6. When prices go down (they will short term), continue to conserve.

7. If you own a home, set your water heater to 130 degrees (will lower your gas bill).

Anyone else want to add to this list? What changes do you think we will have to make to our lifestyle due to the oil crisis?
I think we will see a sharp decrease in the number of SUV's, hummers and other large vehicles on the road. Most people I know are planning to vacation closer to home. I think people will find they turn the thermostat down a bit lower. Less flights due to the high cost of plane fare. What changes do you think we will have to make to our lifestyle due to the oil crisis?
stop being such a wasteful consumer. the cost of items skyrocket from demand of these items and the cost to get them to the shelves. wasting and endlessly consuming items adds to the crisis.
I've made a few changes. I now steal food and siphon gas from car lots.
we may have to move closer to our jobs.
