Did you know the Democrats are responsible for our oil crisis?

It was the Democratic congress that stopped oil drilling, but all that is about to change... McCain is going to drill, drill, drill and use all kinds of energy innovations to dave America.

McCain/ Palin 2008-2016Did you know the Democrats are responsible for our oil crisis?
yes. they are not above prologing the suffering of the American people to make sure that Bush doesn't have something good happen during his presidency.

Palin was right - drilling isn't going to solve all of our problems, but that is no reason not to give it a shot and instead invest in programs that even big business won't touch.

Edit: NMMNG, what is the point of drilling in places where there is no oil? How does that do anything other than waste money that could be used productively?Did you know the Democrats are responsible for our oil crisis?
George Bush and his republican controlled congress for the 6 out of 8 years had plenty of opportunities to drill, drill, drill.

I do believe that Pelosi and her cronies should be fired and tried for treason for taking another vacation rather than hammering away an energy policy for the American people.

I think both parties are at fault.
Our oil crisis can be resolved by no longer being dependent on oil. Oil is a finite resource. Someday, it's going to run out, whether it's five years from now or fifty. There are other sources of energy that do just as well or better, and in a few years with the right financial and public support, the United States won't be relying on oil, either from the middle east or from our own land. What's so hard to understand about that?
This assertion is just as stupid as the one where people blame the President for high prices because he's tighten the strategic petrol reserves.

Let's get something straight: those idiots on CNN and FOX News, or wherever you got this idea from, are not economists and neither are you. And if you're quoting Kudlow %26amp; Co. when you say ';drill drill drill';, then you are listening to actual economists but you're still not seeing the whole picture here.

The price of oil is set by supply and demand. There are other interferences with, such as government taxes and the collusion of oligopolies, but for the most part it's not being bid down very much on the part of ordinary consumers.

Here's the real crisis of oil: The number of consumers of oil is increasingly growing faster than the already high growth rates in population. The problem is oil production isn't growing fast enough to keep pace.

This is where most people end up thinking ';drill drill drill'; will solve the problem and it could but I doubt it will. If we utilized our new fuel efficiently enough to focus on improving our fuel economy, then yes. But I would rather put my money on the chances that people will get excited about a brief moment where prices are low and go back to the way we were, completely abandoning the whole movement away from oil.

That's the real crisis, and I would be all for ';drill drill drill'; had our economy consisted of consumers smart enough to use it (or the advantages in other sectors that wouldn't be so upon its sacrafice) to invest in our future, wether it's nuclear, coal, natural gas, or energy alternatives, but instead I have the feeling we'll just crawl back into our hummers, keep building homes in the middle of nowhere, and completely forget about fuel economy.
Dude...the world is awash in oil. All you have to do is pay the people that own it from the ground to the pump what ever it is they ask. The republicans have no problem with the 'free market'. Encouraging oil producers to buy each other out, to raise or lower the price as they see fit, allowing them to avoid taxes is all a part of the wonderful world of the neo-con-man GOP. You 'wingers should be dancing in the street because the system that's robbing you works so well. It's certainly the system you voted for, so what's the prob? Holy US Army, Batman, 'our' government even used US troops and borrowed money to invade Iraq so these oil corporations can have access to product. What more do you want? Blaming the 'democrats'? You should shake their hand......the oil mafia is getting rich and you're taking it in the shorts. I sense a disconnect here. Give it a think!
No. It's not like the drilled up all the oil and started drinking it or something, just so we would have a shortage.

Drilling was ruining our Earth. (Sorry about sounding all hippie) and it's a proven scientific fact that drill right now won't change the gas prices for years and years to come.

Time to make another bogus account, loser.

EDIT:

';I have a BA in Finance and a Master's in Economics...';

I bet.

Here, however, you're all BS.
No they aren't. That's a lie. The oil companies already have 70 million acres of leases that they could start drilling tomorrow. They have reduced drilling and closed refineries to keep supply low and prices high.
Tell me, how does one dave America?

Best typo I've seen all day. Thanks for the laugh. The question was pretty funny too. Total BS, but funny nonethelesss.
yepp and Bill Clinton actually vetoed a bill that was for off shore drilling. So democrats are the whole reason for gas prices, they need to stop being such tree hugger mumbo jumbos
No, its the republican war machine?
yes
u are so ignorant.
